Florim Match Up, concrete and terrazzo in one coordinated collection
Florim Match Up is built around the meeting of two contrasting material inspirations.
The first is a concrete effect with a clean urban and industrial character. The second is an original terrazzo interpretation featuring tone on tone material elements with irregular shapes and different sizes.
Rather than asking designers to choose between these two surfaces, Florim develops them as parts of the same system.
Calmer base tiles can therefore be combined with more expressive Mix surfaces, mosaics and graphic decors while maintaining a coordinated colour palette.
This makes Match Up particularly suitable for contemporary interiors where different areas need their own identity without introducing completely unrelated materials.
Sugar and Sugar Mix, a light and versatile foundation
Sugar represents the lightest side of Match Up.
Its restrained concrete character is particularly suitable for rooms that need a bright and neutral base.
The surface can be used across large floors and walls without dominating the interior.
Sugar Mix retains the same light colour direction while adding the irregular material inclusions associated with terrazzo.
This creates considerably more visual movement.
The two surfaces can be combined within the same room. A calm Sugar floor can, for example, be complemented by Sugar Mix on a selected wall or within a particular zone.
This approach is especially useful in smaller bathrooms and kitchens where different materials are desired without introducing too many colours.
Cookie and Cookie Mix, warmer beige tones
Cookie gives the concrete side of Match Up a warmer and softer character.
It combines naturally with timber, cream, beige and other warm interior materials.
This makes Cookie suitable for living spaces and bathrooms where a concrete inspired surface should feel less industrial.
Cookie Mix translates the same colour family into a terrazzo inspired design.
The inclusions remain closely related to the background colour, producing movement without introducing a highly contrasting multicoloured pattern.
This tone on tone relationship is central to the Match Up concept.
Earl Grey and Earl Grey Mix, contemporary grey surfaces
Earl Grey is one of the most versatile colours in the range.
Its neutral grey direction works particularly well with black details, metal, timber and minimalist furniture.
The calm concrete version can be used across large floors and walls in residential and commercial interiors.
Earl Grey Mix introduces a more active terrazzo design within the same colour family.
One possible approach is to use Earl Grey across the main floor and introduce Earl Grey Mix in a kitchen zone, entrance area or selected wall.
The change in texture can define different areas while keeping the overall colour concept consistent.
Coffee and Coffee Mix, warmer and deeper
Coffee introduces greater depth and warmth.
It is particularly suitable for interiors combining timber, beige, dark metal and other warm materials.
Coffee can provide the quieter base, while Coffee Mix adds more visual movement through terrazzo inspired inclusions.
The Mix version can be particularly effective in entrance areas, restaurants, kitchens and selected residential surfaces.
Florim also offers mosaics and decorative pieces that allow the Coffee colour family to continue into smaller areas.
Liquorice and Liquorice Mix, the darker side of Match Up
Liquorice provides a deeper and more contrasting option.
The dark surface can be combined with white, beige, timber, metal or stronger accent colours.
Across a large area, Liquorice creates a calm architectural base.
Liquorice Mix retains the dark colour family while introducing the irregular pattern of terrazzo.
Using both versions together can produce a strong material contrast without changing the underlying colour.
Depending on the specific product, Florim lists Matte PTV with R10 and Grip surfaces with R11 for the Liquorice range.
Blueberry and Cinnamon, introducing colour
Blueberry and Cinnamon extend Match Up beyond the traditional palette of white, beige, grey and dark neutral shades.
Blueberry provides a cooler colour direction and can be used when a concrete inspired interior should have more personality.
Cinnamon moves towards a warmer, earthier atmosphere.
It combines particularly well with timber, beige and other warm materials.
Florim lists Cinnamon with Matte PTV R10 and, depending on the format, Grip R11 surfaces.
Both shades can be used as accent colours alongside the more neutral Sugar, Cookie, Earl Grey, Coffee and Liquorice options.
Combining concrete and terrazzo
The main strength of Match Up is that concrete and terrazzo do not need to be treated as separate design decisions.
Florim specifically develops the collection around mixing surfaces and tones.
In an open plan kitchen and living room, a calm concrete effect can define the main space while a Mix surface distinguishes the kitchen.
In a bathroom, the floor can remain understated while terrazzo is introduced inside the shower or behind the washbasin.
The same principle can be applied in restaurants, hotels, offices and retail interiors.
Different areas gain their own identity without requiring a completely different colour palette.
Matte PTV, Grip and Glossy surfaces
Match Up is available with different surface characteristics depending on colour and product.
Many base tiles are listed in Matte PTV with R10 performance. Selected products are also available with Grip R11 surfaces. Florim additionally lists Glossy finishes for selected Mix versions.
This makes it possible to select Match Up not only by appearance but also according to the technical requirements of the intended area.
A matte concrete effect is particularly suitable for broad floor surfaces.
A glossier terrazzo surface can have a more decorative role on walls.
For wet areas and other spaces where slip resistance is important, the technical specification of the individual product should always be checked.
Formats from 30 × 60 to 120 × 240 cm
The general Match Up size range includes 30 × 60, 60 × 60, 60 × 120, 120 × 120 and 120 × 240 cm, with availability depending on the selected colour and surface.
This gives the collection considerable flexibility.
30 × 60 cm offers a more traditional tile proportion.
60 × 60 cm works across a wide range of residential and commercial interiors.
60 × 120 cm reduces the number of visible joints and creates a more generous appearance.
The 120 × 120 and 120 × 240 cm dimensions allow Match Up to move towards a more architectural large format concept.
Decoro Lock and Decoro Shapes
Match Up includes several geometric decorative elements.
Decoro Lock measures approximately 38.69 × 38.69 cm and creates a distinctive repeating surface.
Decoro Shapes measures approximately 48.28 × 49.99 cm and introduces another geometric format.
These pieces can be used within entrance areas, bathrooms or selected decorative sections and combined with calmer base tiles from the same collection.
Tropico and Waves, large decorative surfaces
Tropico and Waves take the decorative concept to a much larger scale.
Florim lists both decors in 60 × 120 cm and 120 × 280 cm.
This allows an entire feature wall to be treated as a decorative ceramic surface rather than using a small repeating decor.
Tropico can introduce a stronger decorative identity, while Waves creates a more rhythmic graphic effect.
These surfaces are especially interesting in bathrooms, hospitality interiors, restaurants and residential feature walls.

Zig Zag and 3x3 mosaics
Decoro Zig Zag provides another geometric element within the Match Up decorative range and measures approximately 48.08 × 48.64 cm.
Florim also offers 30 × 30 cm mosaics composed of smaller 3 × 3 elements.
These mosaics are useful for shower niches, smaller wall areas and spaces where a large format is difficult to install.
They also allow the Match Up colour palette to continue into smaller architectural details.
Match Up in bathrooms and kitchens
Match Up is particularly well suited to bathrooms because different surfaces can be combined without leaving the collection.
Sugar, Cookie or Earl Grey can create calm floors and main walls, while a Mix surface or decor can highlight a shower, washbasin area or feature wall.
A similar approach works in kitchens.
Neutral concrete inspired surfaces can be paired with terrazzo, mosaics or graphic decors.
The collection also combines easily with timber, painted cabinetry, metal and coloured furniture.
Match Up for hospitality and commercial interiors
The mix and match concept is equally useful in commercial spaces.
Restaurants can distinguish different zones using surface changes rather than completely different flooring materials.
Hotels can use calm concrete effects in circulation spaces and introduce terrazzo or decorative designs in selected areas.
Retail environments can also use the different textures to define visual zones while maintaining a consistent overall palette.
Different slip resistance options and sizes expand the technical possibilities, although suitability should always be checked for the specific product and application.
Match Up and CarbonZero
Florim includes Match Up in its CarbonZero range.
The collection therefore combines its Contemporary Design concept with Florim's approach to Carbon Neutral ceramic surfaces.
For architectural projects where manufacturer environmental information is considered alongside appearance and technical performance, this is an additional aspect of the collection.
Florim Match Up at VITALE TILES
Its main strength is not one single dramatic surface, but the ability to combine concrete effect, terrazzo, colour, mosaics and graphic decors within a coordinated design system.
Sugar, Cookie, Earl Grey, Coffee and Liquorice provide a broad neutral foundation. Their Mix counterparts introduce more movement, while Blueberry and Cinnamon add additional colour.
At VITALE TILES, we recommend comparing the base colour and the corresponding Mix surface with physical samples before placing a larger order. With terrazzo inspired designs in particular, a small sample can only show part of the overall distribution, shape and scale of the inclusions.
