Florim Woodslate Life combines the warmth of oak with the mineral character of slate in a contemporary porcelain stoneware collection. Four wood shades – Dune, Champagne, Nutmeg and Woodchunk – are complemented by the slate colours Cotton, Dove, Storm and Bark. From 20 × 120 cm wood-effect planks to large slate-effect slabs up to 120 × 280 cm and three-dimensional decors, Woodslate Life provides a complete material palette for modern interiors.
Florim Woodslate Life, wood and slate effect porcelain tiles
Woodslate Life by Florim brings together two traditional natural materials: oak and slate. Instead of treating them as separate design styles, Florim develops both inspirations within the same porcelain stoneware collection.
The result is a coordinated system of wood grains, knots, mineral textures and natural colours that can be combined across floors and walls.
Woodslate Life takes inspiration from the Modern Farmhouse style, where natural materials and a relaxed atmosphere meet clean contemporary architecture. The collection therefore feels warmer than a minimalist stone range but considerably more refined than a traditional rustic wood effect.
For additional ceramic interpretations of timber, explore the
VITALE TILES wooden-look tile collection. Woodslate Life is particularly distinctive because the wooden surfaces can be paired directly with matching slate effects.
Dune – light and natural oak
Dune is one of the lightest wood shades in the collection. Its soft sandy colour works particularly well in bright interiors with white, beige, cream and other natural tones.
The 20 × 120 cm plank format reinforces the appearance of real timber flooring while maintaining the practical characteristics of porcelain stoneware.
Arrow decorative elements introduce a directional geometric pattern, while Slats 3D translates the appearance of contemporary timber slat walls into a structured ceramic surface.
Champagne – a warmer wood interpretation
Champagne introduces a slightly warmer and softer character. The colour retains the natural appearance of oak while moving towards a gentle golden tone.
It can work particularly well with cream furniture, warm metals, natural stone and neutral textiles. In open-plan living spaces it creates a warm foundation without making the interior appear overly rustic.
Nutmeg – richer and deeper
Nutmeg moves towards deeper brown tones and gives the wood surface more visual weight.
It can be combined with black metal, grey stone effects and neutral furniture to create interiors that feel both natural and contemporary.
For projects where very pale wooden flooring feels too understated, Nutmeg provides a stronger alternative.
Woodchunk – the darkest wood character
Woodchunk is the most pronounced wood shade within the collection. Its deeper brown colouring and visible timber character give it a stronger architectural presence.
It is particularly suitable for restaurants, hotels, reception spaces and residential interiors where the wooden surface is intended to become a major part of the design.
Woodchunk can also be paired with Cotton or Dove to create a strong contrast between dark wood and pale slate.
Cotton, Dove, Storm and Bark – four slate interpretations
The second part of Woodslate Life is based on natural slate.
Cotton is the lightest shade and works particularly well across bright bathrooms, large walls and minimalist spaces.
Dove provides a softer grey that can be combined easily with both light and dark wood tones.
Storm is cooler and stronger, making it suitable for contemporary interiors featuring black, steel, glass and other modern materials.
Bark introduces warmer earthy and brown tones. It works especially well together with Nutmeg and Woodchunk.
Large slate-effect slabs up to 120 × 280 cm
The Slate range introduces a completely different scale to the collection.
Cotton, Dove, Storm and Bark are available in formats including 60 × 120, 120 × 120, 120 × 240 and 120 × 280 cm.
These large dimensions reduce the number of visible grout lines and allow the subtle slate texture to extend across generous surfaces. They are particularly effective on bathroom walls, inside showers, in entrance spaces and across contemporary living areas.
Three-dimensional decorative surfaces
Florim complements the base tiles with decorative options that add another layer to the collection.
Arrow introduces geometric direction similar to herringbone and chevron concepts. Slats 3D recreates the appearance of vertical timber battens, while Muretto Sfalsato 3D adds a more pronounced textured stone effect.
These pieces are particularly useful on
wall tiles, bathroom feature walls, niches, reception areas and other surfaces where additional texture is desired.
Combining wood and slate
The main strength of Woodslate Life becomes clear when both material inspirations are used together.
Dune or Champagne can be paired with Cotton or Dove to create a bright and natural interior. Woodchunk with Cotton produces a considerably stronger contrast.
Nutmeg and Bark create a warmer, earthier combination.
In a bathroom, large slate-effect slabs can define the shower while the wood effect adds warmth to the floor or another wall. In an open-plan home, the two materials can also be used to visually distinguish the kitchen, dining and living areas without introducing completely unrelated colours or surfaces.
Florim Contemporary Design
Woodslate Life belongs to Florim's Contemporary Design range and is particularly suited to interiors where natural material character needs to work together with modern architecture.
At
VITALE TILES, Woodslate Life can be compared with a wider selection of
Florim tiles for bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces and architectural projects.
For larger projects, we recommend viewing the preferred surfaces as physical samples before ordering. Wood grain, slate texture and colour can appear noticeably different depending on daylight, artificial lighting, furniture and surrounding materials.
